Prepared, Not Scared.

It started with a blackout.

Three days of no power, no water, and no cell service in the middle of a Minnesota winter. We had a generator, but no gas. We had flashlights, but dead batteries. We had a first aid kit from 1998. And when we finally got to the store after the storm passed, the shelves were stripped clean — water, batteries, canned food, all gone in the first 12 hours.

We weren't preppers back then. We were just regular people who realized, the hard way, that the system doesn't always work.

The market was broken.

After that winter, we started digging into preparedness gear. What we found was a mess. On one side: alarmist survivalist sites selling overpriced buckets of freeze-dried food and "tactical" gadgets that wouldn't survive a trip to the mailbox. On the other side: well-meaning blogs that made prepping sound like planning a lunar mission — spreadsheets, layers, categories, acronyms. Meanwhile, Amazon was flooded with cheap Chinese faraday bags that didn't block signals and water filters that didn't filter.

There was no middle ground. No place that said: "You don't need a bunker. You need a filter, a blanket, and a way to keep your phone safe."

So we built it.

Bunker.it started with a simple rule: we won't sell anything we wouldn't rely on ourselves. Every product on this site — from the Faraday Fabric to the Tactical Pen — was bought, tested, carried, and used by us before we ever listed it for sale.

We tested the Water Filter Straw in a muddy creek behind a Walmart. We wrapped a phone in the Faraday Fabric and tried to call it — dead signal, every time. We slept under the Thermal Blanket in 28°F weather. Not because we're extreme. Because we wanted to know what works and what doesn't.

And when something didn't work? We didn't sell it. Simple as that.

No fear, no hype.

We don't believe in selling through fear. You won't find countdown timers, "government secrets," or end-of-the-world predictions on this site. What you'll find is honest gear that solves real problems:
